Reading Reflection No. 3
The book I chose was "The Art of Social Media" by Guy Kawasaki. Tips on making the best of social media presence.
2) How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003?
That I need to build my foundation, my resources, attract people to my idea, etc.
3) If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve?
What brand does social media best? Ask everyone around the room who they think has the best brand voice.
4) What was your biggest surprise or 'aha' moment when reading the book? In other words, what did you learn that differed most from your expectations?
"Pursuing your passions makes you more interesting, and interesting people are enchanting."

Hi Kim, you did a great job on your post! I work in marketing, so I frequently use social media for campaigns and generic day-to-day posts. The book you discussed, “The Art of Social Media,” sounds really interesting! Personally, I chose the biography of Steve Jobs written by Walter Isaacson for my third reading, but I almost chose the one you read due to the nature of my job. You bring up a good point that the book connected and enhanced what you are learning in ENT3003 by talking about how you have to establish your foundation and make connections. Overall great job on your post and keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHey Kim, I read this book for our reading reflection #2 assignment and its great. The tips given in the book are really beneficial and can really help ones social media pages. I also liked your proposed assignment to the class as I feel everyone will give different answers but will all have good arguments for their reasoning. Overall great post!
